Adding a numeric keypad to Keychron K11 Max keyboard
The Keychron K11 Max keyboard is a 65% Alice keyboard. It does not have keys for the numeric keypad.
On a full size keyboard, our right hand operates the numeric keypad. So if a finger on the left hand can reach a layer toggle key of the K11, the right hand would be able to operate the numeric keypad.
There are two layer toggle keys on the K11, <fn1>
and <fn2>
. The former is for a finger on the left hand. When <fn1>
key is held down, layer 2 is active if Mac/iOS mode is selected. Otherwise, layer 3 if Win/Android mode. Therefore we add a numeric keypad to both layer 2 and 3.
Layer 0. No change from default.
Layer 1. No change from default.
Layer 2 (Mac/iOS mode).
Add a numeric numpad around J (numpad 4).

Add <Home>
to the left arrow key and <End>
to the right arrow key.
All of the replaced keys were (default) pass-through keys.
Layer 3 (Win/Android mode). Same changes as in layer 2.
Layer 4. No change from default.
You can load this entire keymap onto your K11 Max (ANSI RGB KNOB) keyboard by importing this keymap (JSON) with Keychron’s launcher (menu Keymap -> button Import).
